Make a lasting difference by naming JBI as a beneficiary in your will. In doing so, you help ensure that unique Braille, Large Print and Audio texts will remain accessible to all the "People of the Book" for many generations.
There are many planned gift options, and each has certain advantages. Your financial advisor and JBI's Development Office can help structure a planned gift that will meet your and your family's financial and philanthropic objectives.
The Tikvah Society of JBI recognizes with appreciation all the many friends of the vision impaired and the blind who include JBI in their will or name JBI as the beneficiary of an insurance policy, trust, IRA or gift annuity.

Answers to common questions:
Do I need a will?
The answer is an emphatic yes! We make a mistake when we think only the wealthy need wills. A will is the best way to guarantee that your assets -- regardless of the size of your estate -- are distributed exactly the way you choose.
Your will involves important decisions for you and your family. It answers questions about who will inherit and how much. Most important, a will allows you to determine the manner in which your estate will be administered. Careful estate planning can result in significant tax savings for you and your heirs.

What are the consequences of not having a will?
The state will make all the decisions about how your assets will be distributed. Your family may not benefit in the way you would like. People outside your family, as well as the charitable institutions you care about, will not be remembered.
What do I do first?
You'll probably want to meet with an attorney, but before you do, you'll need to:
- Take inventory of your assets, noting how they're owned and their value
- List your important documents
- Decide which family members, friends, and charitable institutions you would like to provide for in your will.
What about a charitable bequest?
Thoughtfully considering your will today helps you assure your legacy to the community tomorrow. In particular, a bequest to JBI offers you the satisfaction of knowing that you will touch the lives of many generations of the blind and visually impaired. You can designate JBI International as the beneficiary of a percentage of your estate, or you can designate a set amount or a particular asset.
